Montréal Into Gotham:

Photographic evidence of WB Games Montréal using real-life local graffiti tags in the backgrounds of Batman: Arkham Origins.
By Chris Laviolette

Update March 3, 2014:
Check out these new comparison/collage images showing over a dozen works by graffiti artists "Sake", "Omen" (www.omen514.com), and "Sino" (shop/gallery: www.lesino.com) on the digital walls of Gotham City. Sources have confirmed that the artists gave permission and received compensation for WB Games Montréal to use their work. Several pieces of unknown, possibly original graffiti have also been found; photos to be added soon.

I've tried to include a man dressed like a bat in each photo, simply as proof of being in-game. Since I had only a phone camera on-hand for these photos, the lighting and sharpness are not optimal; the various trails of white dots in some are just snow falling. Details on the real-life graffiti and credits for the original photographs are included where possible.

Click the thumbnails for larger images.

(Arkham Origins players: Did you notice that hardly any of the graffiti is actually affixed to a surface? It's true! Walk Batman up close to some, then swing the camera around to see the textures floating in mid-air! I thought that was pretty neat.)
